1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller for this website is Grand Homedecor Technology Co., Limited, based in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China. We manufacture and supply architectural shading products to business customers worldwide.
If you have any question about this policy or about the personal data we hold on you, write to us using the details in the final section. You do not need to be an existing customer to contact us.
2. What personal data we collect
We only collect personal data that you choose to submit through a form on this website. There are exactly two such forms.
- Inquiry forms (on the Contact page and in the quote section of the homepage): your name, email address, company name, country, international dialling code, phone number, the message you write, and — only if you attach one — a file of up to 5MB together with its filename.
- Newsletter subscription (at the foot of each news article): your email address, the interface language you were reading in, which article you subscribed from, a unique unsubscribe token generated for your record, and the dates your subscription was created or changed.
3. What we do not do
This website has no customer accounts and no login, so we never ask you for a password. There is no checkout and no payment processing on the site, so we never collect card or bank details. We do not buy, rent or receive personal data about you from data brokers or other third parties, and we do not sell or share your data with anyone for their own marketing.
Please do not include sensitive information — such as health data, government identification numbers or payment details — in an inquiry message or attachment. We do not need it to answer a product enquiry.
4. Why we process it, and on what legal basis
Inquiry data is used to answer your question, prepare a quotation, and manage any resulting business relationship. The legal basis is the consent you give by ticking the privacy checkbox before submitting, together with our legitimate interest in responding to a direct business enquiry and taking pre-contractual steps at your request.
Newsletter data is used solely to send you occasional product launches, project inspiration and industry news. The legal basis is the consent you give by ticking the subscription checkbox. We do not use it for anything else, and we do not pass it to advertisers.
Consent given for either purpose can be withdrawn at any time, as described in section 8. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing that happened before you withdrew it.
5. The emails we send you
When you submit an inquiry, two things happen: a notification containing your details and any attachment is delivered to our export sales team, and an automatic acknowledgement is sent back to the email address you provided so you know your message arrived.
When you subscribe to the newsletter, we send one confirmation email containing your personal unsubscribe link.
Both of these transactional emails are written in English regardless of which of the twenty site languages you were reading in. This is deliberate: our customers are spread across more than sixty countries, and keeping a single wording avoids the risk of a translated commitment meaning something different from the original.
We never send newsletter email to an address that has unsubscribed.
6. Where your data sits and who can reach it
Submissions are stored in a managed cloud database operated by the platform that hosts this website. Outbound email is delivered through Alibaba enterprise mail.
Access is deliberately one-directional for members of the public. A visitor to this site can create a record by submitting a form, but cannot read, list, edit or delete any record — not even their own. Reading and administration is restricted to our authorised staff through the platform's administrative console.
Newsletter records carry an additional restriction: the subscriber list cannot be read from the public side of the site at all. Unsubscribing works by matching the unique token in your link against a single record inside the database, so no list of subscribers is ever exposed in the process.
Because we are based in China and serve customers internationally, data you submit may be accessed by our staff in China. Where a transfer of this kind requires safeguards under your local law, we rely on the appropriate mechanism for that jurisdiction.
7. How long we keep it
Inquiries are kept for as long as they remain commercially useful — to follow up on an open enquiry, to refer back to a previous quotation, and to handle after-sales questions on products we supplied. Records can be marked as deleted, which removes them from day-to-day views while retaining the row for audit purposes.
When you unsubscribe from the newsletter we set your record to inactive rather than erasing it. Keeping the inactive record is what prevents us from accidentally emailing you again after you have opted out.
If you would rather we removed your data entirely, tell us and we will delete it — see the next section.
8. Your rights and how to exercise them
Depending on where you are located, you may hold rights over your personal data. For visitors in the EU, EEA and UK these come from the GDPR and include the right to access a copy of your data, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have data erased, to restrict or object to processing, to receive your data in a portable format, to withdraw consent, and to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address below and tell us what you would like changed or removed. We will confirm what we hold and act on your request, normally within one month.
- Newsletter unsubscribe is fully self-service and needs no email from you: click the unsubscribe link in any newsletter or confirmation email. It opens a page on this site that deactivates your subscription immediately, with no login and no questions asked. Clicking it twice is harmless — the second click simply confirms you are already unsubscribed.
- Inquiry data has no self-service portal, because the public side of the site cannot read records at all. Email us and we will handle it for you.
9. Analytics, cookies and third-party links
This website is built and hosted on a website platform that includes its own analytics and service-monitoring scripts in the page template. Those scripts are operated by the hosting provider to measure traffic and keep the service running.
We do not add advertising pixels, social-media tracking scripts or retargeting tags to this site, and the site itself does not set cookies. Your chosen display language is held only for the current visit and is not written to persistent storage.
Some links on this site take you to services run by other companies — for example a WhatsApp link opens WhatsApp, and an email link opens your mail client. Once you leave this site, the other service's own privacy terms apply and we are not responsible for them.
10. Business use only
This site is aimed at trade buyers, specifiers, distributors and project owners. We do not direct it at children and do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has submitted data to us, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may revise this policy if our data practices change or if the law requires it. The date shown at the top of the page tells you which version you are reading. Material changes to how we handle newsletter or inquiry data will be reflected here before they take effect.
This policy is published in English. Where the site interface is displayed in one of the other nineteen supported languages, this English text remains the operative version; translating legal wording risks introducing ambiguity that could be read as a different commitment.
